Retraction, Correction, and Withdrawal Policy

IJoTIS follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for handling corrections, retractions, and withdrawals.

Corrections

Minor errors that do not affect the overall integrity of a published article (e.g., typographical errors, minor data errors) may be corrected via a published erratum linked to the original article.

Retractions

An article may be retracted if:

There is clear evidence of unreliable findings due to misconduct (e.g., data fabrication) or honest error.
The findings have been published elsewhere without proper cross-referencing or justification.
It constitutes plagiarism or reports unethical research.

Retraction decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the editorial board, following COPE's retraction guidelines. A retraction notice will be published, linked to the original article, stating the reason for retraction. The original article is retained online, marked as retracted.

Withdrawal

Authors may request withdrawal of a manuscript that has not yet been accepted by contacting the editorial office. Withdrawal after formal acceptance is discouraged and is only permitted in exceptional circumstances, at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
