Article Processing Charge

The Indonesian Journal of Teaching in Science (IJoTIS) applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of Rp 1,000,000 per accepted manuscript.

What the charge covers

Editorial and peer review management
Copyediting, layout, and proofreading
DOI registration with Crossref (prefix 10.17509)
Permanent open access hosting and archiving
Indexing and dissemination

When it is payable

The APC becomes payable only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication. There is no charge at submission and no charge for a manuscript that is rejected or withdrawn during review. Authors are notified of the exact amount and the payment procedure directly in the acceptance letter; the journal does not accept payment through individuals or agents.

Waiver policy

IJoTIS grants full or partial waivers to authors who are unable to pay, in particular authors from low-income countries and student authors without institutional funding. A waiver request must be submitted to [email protected] at the time of submission and is decided independently of the peer review process.

Editorial independence

The decision to accept or reject a manuscript is made solely on academic grounds. The ability or inability of an author to pay has no bearing on the editorial decision, and the editorial board is not informed of waiver requests during review.

Refunds

The APC is refundable only where the journal is unable to publish an accepted article. It is not refundable once the article has been published or where an author withdraws the manuscript after acceptance.
