Focus and Scope
CAPEU Journal of Education is an international, peer‑reviewed journal that provides a scholarly platform for advancing educational thought and practice across the Asia‑Pacific region. The journal particularly welcomes work that emerges from, speaks to, or is transferable to educational contexts in Asia‑Pacific education universities and their partner institutions.
The journal focuses, but is not limited, to research and critical analyses on:
- Language and Literature Education
- Social Science Education and Citizenship Education
- Sports, Health, and Physical Education
- Education Sciences, including Early Childhood and Young Learners
- Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)
- Economics, Business, and Entrepreneurship Education
- Mathematics, Natural Science, and STEM Education
- Visual Arts, Dance, Music, Design, and Creative Industries Education
We welcome empirical, theoretical, methodological, and review articles that address: educational policy and governance; curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment; teacher education and professional learning; digital and technology‑enhanced learning; equity, inclusion, and diversity; community engagement; and cross‑national or comparative studies within and beyond the Asia‑Pacific region.
The journal encourages manuscripts that showcase collaborative work among CAPEU member institutions, cross‑border partnerships, and innovations that improve the quality of education in Asia‑Pacific and contribute to global debates in education. Informed papers from early‑career and established scholars are invited, especially those that stimulate academic dialogue, share best practices, and propose actionable insights for policy and practice.
CAPEU Journal of Education is published twice a year, in January and July, and provides immediate open access to all content to support wider dissemination of educational knowledge and practice.
